Established in 1972, CANE' S.p.A. operates in the professional electronic industry sector. The Company, particularly attentive to the market requirements, and prepared to follow new directions, started dealing with medical electronics in 1978 and subsequently, on specific request from the Thalassemia Centre of the University of Turin, CANE' designed an ambulatory infusion device to cure thalassemia. When designing the equipment, the Company gave priority to simplicity of use, accurate operation and strength, combined with a high degree of reliability over the years and an excellent quality/price ratio.
A pump, named CD4, designed had an immediate success, that was followed
by mass production of the device. Introduced in 1980, among the first in Europe, the pump aroused great interest in the specialized Companies as Boehringer and Bayer. The latter was subsequently entrusted with the product Marketing. MC2 developed strictly following technological evolution and became MC20, Bolus 2 and lastly the current QUARK. Following the new market needs and basing on the designing experience acquired with CD4 and Quark, an innovative and technologically advanced infusion device was developed in the 90's: CRONO. Its ergonomic features and compactness place it at the top of the word standards in its specific sector. Crono, specifically designed to cure thalassemia, was the starting point of a whole family of pumps to give for your features a substantially reduced inconvenience for the patient in the active every day life. Currently, CANE' supplies CD4 and Crono to the major Italian Microcythemia centres and several foreign firms. THE
HEADQUARTERS The company's brand new head quarters are located in Rivoli, in the outskirts of Turin. Access is very easy, just a few hundred meters from the South ringroad exit of this town. The modern style and architecture of the offices and production plants reflect the with functionality and the sense of environmental welcoming. THE PLANNING The firm has worked in the electromedical sector for many years and can guarantee a thorough knowledge of this branch. CANE' also provides an autonomous design for both electronical and mechanical parts. Its technical know-how has enabled the Company to create increasingly accurate and compact instruments, with an advanced design without neglectly technological innovations. THE PRODUCTION Also production is submitted to continuous and careful monitoring. Severe quality control on each component guarantees the pumps total reliability, with very high safety and accuracy standards as regards their performance. Through the technological skills developed and the substantial investments made in R & D, the Company can follow and anticipate the ongoing evolution, to increase the reliability of the current models and create new ones. The production unit is co-ordinated by a team of technicians and designers who aim to find the best solutions for total customer satisfaction. THE ASSISTANCE To fulfil the specific requirements of each customer, Cane' has set up a suitable technical assistance service on its premises, with very specialized personnel. The infusion devices are tested with technically advanced equipment and the highly skilled technical staff can solve any kind of problems. Besides guaranteeing competence and reliability of its products, the Company feels it as a duty to offer a service that gives appropriate and satisfactory answers in case of need, whenever a technical problem can lead to serious inconveniences to the patient. For this purpose a phone service has been set up to provide virtually any information from our experts.
